A candidate who has completed and achieved great success in their respective sportwithin the last 10 years and identifies as a current or past resident of Lakeshore would qualify for nominaton.
A candidate who has competed and achieved great success in their respective sport at least 10 years ago or more and identifies as a current or past resident of Lakeshore would qualify for nomination.
To be considered in the Builder Category, an individual must have dedicated a significant amount of building time towards the success of a sport in Lakeshore in the role of coach, administrator or founder.
For an individual to be considered as a builder who has not had building time of a sport in Lakeshore but has achieved success in sport outside of Lakeshore, that person may be considered for induction if their formative years of building where while they resided in Lakeshore. The determination of “formative years of building” is a board decision.
This class is open to a team, volunteer, executive, sponsor, or individual that contributes or has contributed to the success of a sport in Lakeshore.
A Lakeshore-based team that has excelled at a higher level as determined by the Board of directors may be considered for induction.
Anyone who has distinguished themselves in one of the 4 categories above is eligible provided they are identified within a community of Lakeshore.
The committee chairperson shall inform the nominator if a candidate has not been accepted and may encourage them to reapply for another year.
